This book provides activities that a teacher can do with students to explore cultural aspects of Japanese life. To use it as a cultural resource, a teacher can use the English text; to use it as a cultural resource, teachers can use the Japanese text as well. The questions that follow each article are those often posed by foreigners when they encounter the item or activity. The responses provide a starting point for a discussion on the perspectives embedded in each of the products or practices. |
